Teriyaki Tofu and steamed greens (Gluten Free)

Another day, another blog.

Like all of you I appreciate all your support! Spurs fans or not! Especially Spurs fans! But a young lady called Sara Willis has given me support over my blogging time and she's a funny gal too. So a gluten free recipe goes out to her and this is virtually carb free too.

The story starts as I was going through my Chinese supermarket shop again and I'm determined not to waste a thing!

Today I tried to make Tofu exciting and I believe I did just that...

What you'll need is:

 For the Tofu stir fry:

100g of cooking Tofu
25 ml of Teriyaki sauce
2 large mushrooms (sliced)
1 red pepper (sliced)
1 green pepper (sliced)
One clove of garlic (grated)
One tsp of grated chilli or one tsp of Chilli bean paste
Handful of Bean Sprouts

For the steamed veg:

2 Pak Choi
Handful of Green Beans (trimmed)

Dressing:
3 tbsp of Ex Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp of dark Soy Sauce
1 tbsp of light Soy Sauce
1 tsp of Sesame Oil
A good grating of Ginger and Chilli

Too start get your steamer on or throw a colander over a 1/4 filled pot of simmering water. Now cube the Tofu up and put into the Teriyaki sauce.

Put the beans and Pak Choi into the steamer or the Colander and put the lid on, a piece of Tin Foil in the Colanders case.

Now get a Wok or large frying pan on to smoking point (you want this hot) My advise would be to have the veg and Tofu prepared in advance.

Throw in a tablespoon of oil (recommend Coconut Oil if you can get it, but Vegetable Oil will be fine)
Stir fry for about a minute and place into a bowl

Now throw in more Oil if you need and stir fry the Tofu (make sure that pan is hot) Get some colour on the cubes, then throw in the Teriyaki sauce.

Throw in the veg and Garlic and simmer down for a minute.

Check the vegetables with a knife...they should be done.

Now make the dressing by throwing all the dressing ingredients into a big bowl and chuck in all the steaming hot vegetables.

If you want wash a handful of Bean Sprouts and let them steam with the sauce.

Serve with rice if you wish, but I had it as it was.

Give it a try yourself! And let me know what you think? Thanks for reading
